Abstract

A licence issued by the Director resposible for veterinary services is required to keep a poultry slaughterhouse. No premises shall be used as slaughterhouse unless such premises have been licensed by the Director. The licence shall be granted on conditions that all the requirements prescribed by these Regulations are fully met. Particular provisions regard the site of slaughterhouse, areas within the slaughterhouse (reg. 5), building requirements (reg. 6), cleanliness (reg. 7), inspection and health marking (reg. 8). Regulation 9 deals with transportation of meat.
