Abstract

This Ordinance prohibits the importation of hatching eggs of domestic fowl, turkeys, geese, ducks and guinea fowl into Guernsey without a licence from the Commerce and Employment Department ("Committee"). Also exportation of live poultry, poultry carcases (other than carcases which are fully cooked) or eggs to the United Kingdom, Ireland and some other places without a licence is prohibited. The Committee may order imported eggs, which, in the opinion of the States Veterinary Officer, constitute a danger to the poultry industry to be destroyed.
