Abstract The present Regulations are made under the Air Pollution Control Act which has been replaced by the Clean Air Act. The Regulations apply to potash refining activities and establish monitoring and reporting requirements for emissions of particulate matter. The text – consisting of 7 sections – deals with the following aspects: emission standards for particulate matter greater than 0.75 grams per dry standard cubic metres; annual reporting requirements related to emission tests required by the Ministry of Environment. Section 7 describes the information to report should an accidental discharge of particulate matter in quantities greater than permitted occur.
