Abstract This Regulation has 11 sections on authorization for and testing of wells for potable water. It requires those who dig, bore or drill a well for potable water to obtain a permit (sect. 3.1) and pay the Provincial Analytical Services to test well water for inorganic substances and microorganisms (sect. 3.1 and 3.2). A voucher of the results is then given to the owner of the well (sect. 3.2), and all wells for potable water shall display a well identifier tag from the Minister of the Environment and Local Government (sects. 3.1-3.5) and (sect. 4.2).
