Abstract

This Act governs a wide range of water quality matters in California, covering, among other things, water pollution issues, water reuse, stormwater management, sewerage and some matters regarding water supply. It provides for institutional arrangements (a State Water Resources Control Board and 9 water quality control boards) and requires the adoption of water quality control plans that give direction to managing water pollution in California. It also provides for various water quality tools.
