Abstract

The present Regulations are made under the Natural Products Act. The Regulations lay down provisions relating to the Plan concerning the marketing of pork. The Plan has the following purposes to: a) control and regulate all aspects of the marketing of hogs in the regulated area; b) stimulate, increase and improve the marketing and production of pork and pork products in the regulated area; c) provide forums for disseminating information to producers about pork production and marketing. The text – consisting of 41 sections – deals with the following aspects: functioning, nomination, composition and executive of the Commodity Board, transitional provisions.
