This Regulation enters into force on 1 January 2017.
Abstract

This Regulation, consisting of 16 sections and completed by two Schedules, regulates and control Poppy Industry within the territory of New South Wales. The following classes of poppy are specified: a) a plant of the species Papaver bracteatum; b) a plant of the species Papaver somniferum; c) a plant that is a hybrid of a plant of either of those species. It establishes poppy cultivation licence requirements, Application fee for grant or renewal of licence, licence fee, poppy processing licence, etc. Schedule 1 specifies penalty and offences notice; Schedule 2 fees and costs of audit.
