Abstract

These Regulations amend the Pollution Prevention and Control (Scotland) Regulations 2000 by, among other things: the determination by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) whether or not a person is a fit and proper person to carry out a specified waste management activity; additional conditions to a permit granted by SEPA; the power of SEPA to make standard rules which apply to installations or mobile plant described in such rules; variation or transfer of permits; and insertion of carbon capture and storage as a relevant activity.
