Abstract

These Regulations, consisting of six sections and completed by one Schedule, implement the Pollution of Waters by Oil and Noxious Substances Act 1987 by setting the rules providing for the protection of State waters from pollution by oil and other substances. It sets provisions to prevent various forms of marine pollution from vessels to notify prescribed officer of incident and for the application of Convention for prevention of pollution from ships. Schedule lays down the Form for marine pollution discharge Report.
