Abstract

These Regulations designate the Environmental Protection Agency as competent authority for the purposes of establishing and maintaining an Irish pollutant release and transfer register. This Register is required as an obligation under the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Protocol on Pollutant Release and Transfer Registers. The Register is a national or regional environmental database or inventory of potentially hazardous chemical substances and/or pollutants released to air, water
