"Agricultural purpose" includes amenity horticulture, the protection of stored agricultural produce and the protection of livestock by laying a substance or preparation in or on land or causing it to be so laid chlordane, chlordecone, reserpine, strychnine its salts and quaternary compounds. An authorized officer may, for the purpose of these Regulations, exercise powers of inspection as specified in regulation 6. An authorized officer may also, by a notice in writing given to the owner or to the person who appears to be in charge or control of a poison or preparation which has been seized under regulation 6, require actions specified in regulation 7 to be undertaken. If any person fraudulently tampers with any poison or preparation so as to procure that any sample of it taken pursuant to these Regulations does not correctly represent the poison or preparation, or tampers or interferes with any sample taken pursuant to these Regulations, he or she shall be guilty of an offence.
