Abstract

The present Regulations enforce the Plant Protection Act (S.C. 1990, c. 22). In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to compensation payments for treatment of fruit trees against plum pox virus. The text consists of 7 sections as follows: Interpretation (1); Compensation (2); Amount of compensation (3); Application for compensation (4); Other conditions (5); Exception (6); Coming into force (7). One Schedule is enclosed. The enclosed Schedule lists compensation rates for tree disposition, soil preparation and replacement.
