The Regulations shall apply to plants and “regulated material” as defined by the Act. The Regulations provide for the points of entry, inspection, quarantine, treatments, destruction, application for import permits, importation of live plants, permit to introduce forestry or agricultural seed, permit for the importation of fruit and vegetables, permit for the entry of pests and cultures, entry of timber, etc. The specific quarantine prohibitions and restrictions contained in the Schedule shall apply in conformity with other conditions prescribed in these Regulations. The Regulations also provide with respect to phytosanitary certificates for plants and material intended for exportation.
