The Regulations, among other things: provide for emergency measures to be taken in case treated seeds are likely to constitute a serious risk to human or animal health or to the environment; designate the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development as the competent authority for the purposes of Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009; introduce various restrictions and rules regarding the placing on the market and use of (treated) plant protection products and adjuvants; provide for enforcement of Community legislation and these Regulations; and define offences.
