This Law enters into force six months after its official publication, except for article 34, which enters into force on the date of its official publication.
Abstract

This Law provides the legal, organizational and economic bases for the protection of plants against pests, diseases and weeds, including plant quarantine and plant protection measures. Plant protection shall be based on the following principles: (a) ensuring the ecologically safe use of plant protection measures; (b) prioritizing the use of biological agents for plant protection; and (c) providing access to information on plant protection.
