Abstract

No person shall import or cause to be imported directly or indirectly from Zanzibar any plants or plant materials or packing material without submitting the same to an inspector at the place of entry into Kenya within twenty-four hours of such entry. Where an inspector is satisfied that any part of a plant, seed, grain or crop, or any box, bag, sack or other container, imported from Zanzibar contains or may possibly contain the pest Trogoderma granarium or any other pest or any disease, he may detain, destroy or disinfect the material.
