Definitions of the Director, the Minister, the Principal Plant Protection Officer, the Department of Agriculture and Horticulture and Quarantine Officers are modified accordingly. This Act also adds a new section (23A) on penalty notices that may be served by a Biosecurity officer (formerly a Quarantine Officer) on a person committing an offence under any provision of the principal Act or Regulations.
