Abstract

These Regulations are made under and implement provisions of the Plant Pest and Disease (Import Control) Act 1995. They specify conditions for the entry of plants, plant materials and products into Barbados. An application for a permit to import a restricted article shall be in Form A set out in the Fist Schedule, whereas the permit itself shall be in Form B. Each import shall be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate (reg. 2). Importation of restricted articles shall be promptly notified by an imported in accordance with regulation 3. Regulation 4 specifies ports of entry. Regulation 5 and the Second Schedule specify criteria and standards as regards to imported planting material and its packing.
