Abstract

This Ordinance aims at preventing the spread of plant pests by controlling the importation of plants and soil, controlling plant pests, and by declaring quarantine areas. Plant import licences and phytosanitary certificates shall be issued by the Director as provided for in the Ordinance. The Director shall also be responsible for declaring any area to be a quarantine area. The text also includes provisions on powers of authorized officers, appeals to the Chief Executive, offences.
