The Order: imposes general prohibitions and restrictions on importation into Northern Ireland from third countries of any wood or isolated bark (“relevant material”), including material coming via another country in the European Community. It requires importers to provide the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development with advance notice of landing of relevant material and requires relevant material to be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate.
