Abstract

These Regulations implement the Plant Health and Plant Products Act 1995 by introducing procedures for preventing the introduction or spread of plant pests and diseases; prescribing standards for the labelling of packages containing seeds and fresh fruit and vegetables and prescribing forms and penalties in compliance with the Act. The Regulations cover the control of movement of plants, plant products, used packages and used agricultural equipment (Part 2); labeling of plants and plant products (Part 3) and fees and charges (Part 6).
