Abstract The Minister may appoint a person to be Chief Inspector of Plants and Diseases. The Chief Inspector may appoint a person to be an inspector (sects. 7 and 7A). The Minister may, by notice in the Gazette, prohibit, either absolutely or subject to compliance with conditions specified in the notice, the importation or introduction into or possession in Territory of plants or fruit or specify a place as a place through which host fruit, host plants or packaging may be introduced into the Territory.
