Abstract

This Act makes provision for the prevention and limitation of the spreading of pests and diseases affecting plants, i.e. any member or part (other than the fruit) of any member of the plant kingdom. The executive member may declare pests or diseases for purposes of this Act. The Act mainly defines powers of inspectors appointed by the executive member. Such powers include the quarantining of plants on land. The Act also defines conditions of importation of plants or fruit.
