Abstract

These Regulations lay down rules for the appointment and functions of the Environmental Impact Assessment Committee; exemption from environmental impact assessment requirements; application procedures for environmental impact assessment report; initial environmental evaluation in respect of an application; scope of works necessary to assess the potential impacts of the proposed development on the environment; qualification requirements of persons carrying out the environmental impact assessment; public participation in environmental impact assessment; minimum contents, submission and review of environmental impact statement; and public access to the EIA report.
