The Regulations apply in respect of pipelines designed, constructed, operated, maintained or abandoned in Nova Scotia lands after 16 September 1998. No person shall construct or operate a pipeline except pursuant to a permit issued by the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board. Permits and licences may contain such terms and conditions as the Board considers appropriate or as are prescribed by the present Regulations.
