The purpose of the Fund is to generate income to be used: a) to protect, preserve and celebrate the natural features and the cultural landscape of an area east of Lake Winnipeg; and b) if UNESCO designates an area east of Lake Winnipeg as a World Heritage Site, to support programmes and initiatives that are consistent with the management plan established for that site.
