Abstract

This Order makes provision for the identification and registration of pigs by keepers of such animals and related matters. It implements in Scotland Council Directive 2008/71/EC. The Order, among other things: requires a person keeping pigs on a holding to notify the Scottish Ministers; require pigs to be marked in accordance with this Order; specify documentation requirements when pigs are moved.
