Abstract

This Act provides for the control of prescription, sale, supply and use of medicines, including medicines used for animals and substances used for disinfection in premises in which food is manufactured, prepared, preserved, packaged or stored for sale or sold or for the control of vermin or insects in such premises. The Act, among other things, establishes the Pharmacy Council, provides for the registration of pharmacies and pharmacists and provides rules for the compounding, dispensing, storing for sale and retailing of drugs and poisons.
