Abstract

The object of this Regulation is to remake, with no changes in substance, the provisions of the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) (Fees) Regulation 1996. It prescribes the amounts of fees for the purposes of the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Act 1982. This Regulation is made under the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Act 1982 and, in particular, under section 152 (the general regulation-making power) and the other sections referred to in the Regulation. This Regulation comprises or relates to matters arising under legislation that is substantially uniform or complementary with legislation of the Commonwealth or another State or Territory.
