Abstract

This Act, consisting of 151 sections divided into four Parts and completed by seven Schedules, regulates the exploration and exploitation of petroleum resources in submerged lands adjacent to the coast of South Australia, in compliance with the Convention on the Continental Shelf. The Act contains provisions on petroleum mining, related exploration permits, mining leases, production licences and pipeline licences, on inspections and powers of inspectors and on fees and royalties.
