Abstract

The purpose of this Act is to ensure the efficient and sustainable use of petroleum resources in the Province by requiring a permit to remove petroleum resources from the Province and thereby ensuring available feedstock to support a petrochemical industry in the Province. In particular, section 6 establishes that no person shall remove from the Province petroleum resources produced within the Province, except in accordance with a petroleum resources removal permit. The text consists of 23 sections.
