Subject Energy Keyword Energy conservation/energy production Oil Transport/storage International trade Offences/penalties Geographical area Africa, Atlantic Ocean Islands, Western Africa Abstract This Ordinance provides rules relative to the trade (in particular importation and exportation) in petroleum and storage, landing and handling of petroleum. “Petroleum” in this Ordinance means any kind of mineral oil, and any oil product or by-product made or obtained from petroleum, asphalt, coal, schist, shale, peat or lignite, or made from any petroliferous or bituminous substance. Particulars of petroleum shall be notified to the Harbour Master before landing and vessels carrying petroleum shall comply with Harbour Master’s directions.
