Abstract

This Regulation is composed of 24 articles. Terms and definitions are given in article 1. Importation, production and trade of pesticides not registered in Libya, or not registered by the authorized agencies and offices, shall be prohibited (art. 2). Article 3 contains the Importation Form. Requirements and conditions for the registration of a pesticide are defined in article 5. Maximum and minimum residues allowed in pesticides are specified in article 6. Article 9 contains cases and conditions for the annulment of the registration. Article 11 establishes the Technical Committee for the registration and regulation of pesticides. Conservation, storage and keeping of pesticides shall be done in the original packages (art. 14). Requirements and condition for obtaining a licence are defined in article 15. Requirements and conditions necessary for pesticides before their registration are specified in article 21.
