Abstract

These Rules are prescribed for the control of pest control operations. All pest control operations shall be carried out by using only pesticides registered by the Board (rule 3). A person who intends to own, operate or manage a pest control operating company or business that is engaged in carrying out pest control operations shall apply for a pest control operator licence. A person who intends to carry out pest control operations, or supervise the carrying out of pest control operations by a licensed assistant pesticide applicator, shall apply for a pesticide applicator licence. Obligations of licensed pest control operators are specified in rule 14. No person shall transport, store or dispose of any pesticide or pesticide containers in such a manner as to cause injury to humans, to pollute the environment or any waterway or wildlife in that environment. An authorized officer may, at all reasonable times, enter, inspect and investigate the premises of a licensed pest control operator. Attached to these Rules are application forms for pest control operator licences, etc.
