The present Act enters into force on 26 February 1979.
Abstract

The purpose of the present Act is to regulate and control the use, distribution and handling of pesticides. Section 3 establishes that no person shall sell or otherwise supply to any person a pesticide that does not meet the standards prescribed by the regulations in respect of: a) registration, where registration is required; b) packaging and labelling; or c) efficacy in relation to the purpose for which it was manufactured or made.
