The Authority may from time to time with the consent of Privy Council by Notice in the Official gazette declare any area of land or sea to be a park or reserve for the purposes of this Act (sect. 4). Regulation making powers of the Authority in respect of parks and reserves are defined in section 5, whereas powers of the Authority in respect of parks and reserves are specified in section 6. Sections 7 to 10 outline the general purpose of parks, reserves and marine reserves and provides for demarcation of reserves. Section 11 lists offences in respect of parks and reserves. All prosecutions for offences against this Act and any regulations made thereunder shall be made by the police, the Fisheries Division of the Government (in respect of marine reserves only), or the Authority itself.
