Abstract This Act is drafted with the purpose of establishing an autonomous body to simplify cross border trade processes, reduce cost of doing business and facilitate trade on national and international level. The facility to be known as the Pakistan single window shall facilitate efficient imports, exports, international transit and matters ancillary thereto. The Pakistan customs shall be the lead agency for the purpose of this Act. The text further provides the Governing Council, its members and decision making discretion, operating entity that will be in charge to develop, roll out and operate the Pakistan single window, financing and grant of funds, application of Pakistan single window and risk management.
