Abstract

These Regulations, for purposes of implementation of Regulation (EU) No 1005/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council, provide for certain matters relating to minimum qualifications for those working on the recovery, recycling, reclamation or destruction of controlled substances and the prevention and minimizing of leakages of controlled substances (terms are defined by the EU Regulation). It shall be offence for a person to carry out relevant work involving controlled substances unless that person is competent to do so. The Regulations also concern training of employees, supervision of work by competent persons and enforcement.
