Abstract The present Act enacts regulations for the protection of people from high ozone levels as well as for alerting them. Not later than 6 months after the entry into force of the present Act, the Federal Minister for Environment, Youth and Family has to divide the national territory of Austria into ozone monitoring areas. Furthermore, the said Minister will isssue an Ordinance on measuring ozone levels and thereafter the competent regional authorities will have to install measuring stations. The said authorities are also going to issue reports on ozone levels and if that is the case, to alert people of the danger. The text consists of 18 articles divided into 2 Parts.
