Abstract

This Regulation, based on Article 49(1) of Proclamation No 87/2005, establishes the Oromia Regional State Forest Enterprises Supervision Agency as an autonomous body having its own legal personality. The Agency shall be accountable to the Oromia Regional Government Executive Council. The Agency shall have as its principal objective to oversee and supervise the management of state forest enterprises operating in State forests. It shall also, among other things, provide support to enterprises and rural development activities in and around the forest areas and shall implement the regional state forest conservation policy. The Regulations also provides with respect to administration of the Agency and utilization of financial resources of the Forest Fund.
