Abstract These Rules, consisting of 20 sections and 6 Forms, shall apply to all kinds of Agricultural Produce included in the Schedule under the Agricultural Produce (Grading and Marking) Act, 1937. They establish certification requirements by which a written assurance is given by the Authorised Inspection and Certification Agency that a clearly identified production or processing system has been methodically assessed and it conforms to the specified requirements as mentioned in the National Programme for Organic Production notified by the Director General of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
