Abstract The present Ordinance implements the Water Resources Management Law of 18 May 1998. The text deals with the following matters: terms of reference, calculation and payment of fees, public water supply, water table drawdown, etc. The Ordinance consists of 30 articles divided into 6 Parts as follows: Principles (I); Fees for the use of hydropower (II); Fees for the use of surface and groundwater (III); Use of public surface waters (IV); Contributions for the ecological improvement of waters (V); Transitional and final provisions (VI).
