Abstract The purpose of the present regulation is to lay down provisions relating to the organization of the safety system, as well as to the intervention in case of chemical incidents. Chemical incidents are considered those threatening human life or amounting to a hazard for the environment. The Department of the Territory is entrusted with the enforcement of this Regulation. In case of an actual or a feared chemical incident the Cantonal Police shall immediately be informed and it shall take appropriate emergency measures without delay. The Cantonal Police shall also inquire as to the cause of the incident and submit a report. According to article 10 the related costs shall be borne by those responsible.
