Abstract

The present Ordinance implements, inter alia, the Water Law of Hessen of 22 January 1990 and the Council Directive 79/869/EEC concerning the methods of measurement and frequencies of sampling and analysis of surface water intended for the abstraction of drinking water in the Member States of 9 October 1979. In particular, the text lays down provisions relating to the abstraction of water from surface waters for the purpose of drinking water supply. The text consists of 7 articles as follows: Purpose of Ordinance (1); Sphere of application (2); Admissibility of water abstraction (3); Monitoring, sampling and analysis methods (4); Exceptions (5); Competent authorities (6); Entry into force (7).
