The water supply services shall be inspected periodically by the Cantonal Food Hygiene Service. Projects for new water supply plants or their enlargement shall be subject to preventive approval. Public water supply services shall be run only by competent personnel. The addition of chemicals to drinking water without authorization from the competent authority shall be prohibited. All public fountains situated on public ground not containing safe drinking water shall have to be marked “no drinking water”. The text consists of 13 articles. Full text German Website www.gl.ch
