Abstract

The present Ordinance implements the Environment Protection Act of 2008 and European Parliament and the Council Directive 94/62/EC on packaging and packaging waste of 20 December 1994. In particular, the Ordinance regulates the prevention and recycling of packaging waste in order to reduce waste and emission of harmful substances. The text consists of 10 articles as follows: Purpose (1); Reference to EU-directives (2); Definition of terms (3); Sphere of application (4); Placing on the market of packaging (5); Threshold value for heavy metals (6); Marking of packaging (7); Recycling (8); Information system (9); Penalties (9a); Entry into force (10).
