Abstract The present Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the implementation of the Ordinance on the protection against major accidents of 27 February 1991. Article 3 establishes that the Waste, Water, Energy and Air Office is the competent authority in the Canton of Zurich to implement federal legislation on the subject. Article 4 establishes that the Building Authority shall appoint an Advisory Committee for accident prevention. In particular, the Commission shall have the following duties: a) consulting both the Planning Office and specialized bodies ; b) participation in the assessment of risk.
