Abstract

The present Ordinance regulates the farming and catching of fish, crustaceans and baits in public and private waters. The Canton Appenzell Ausserrhoden is entitled to catch fish, crustaceans and baits in all public waters in the whole Canton in compliance with the Federal Fisheries Law. Excluded are private waters in which fish, crustaceans and baits do not come from public waters. Article 4 establishes that the fishing right is assigned according on a lease basis and entitles to catch fish and crustaceans. The text – consisting of 44 articles – deals with the following matters: fishing in boarder waters, fishery inspector, fishing waters, fishing permit, lease, fishing charges, fishing methods, closed seasons, promotion of fishing, fishing funds, confiscation of fish, fish breeding and penalties.
