Abstract The present Ordinance implements the Law of 7 May 1972 on precautionary measures in view of a disruption in the economic supply in case of disasters and acts of war (Emergency Law). Article 1 establishes that to ensure governance activities and public services in exceptional situations, namely a supply disruption or severe shortages due to market disturbances within the meaning of the afore-mentioned Federal Act The Canton Glarus maintains a cantonal emergency organization.
