Abstract

The present Ordinance by the Federal Minister for Health and Consumer Protection reproduces parts of Sections 4, 5 and 9 to 11 of the Codex Alimentarius Austriacus (3rd ed., Chapter B32: Milk and Milk Products). The Ordinance contains a definition clause of the various terms therein employed. Then it sets out the regulations for the production of casein. Article 3 concerns marking and labelling requirements. The Ordinance consists of 3 articles and 2 Annexes. Annexes I and II set out the criteria for testing casein for human consumption.
